Awards:
- 2013 ageing: Drink now or keep in the cellar for up to three years after harvest.
- in the vineyard: The winter leading up to the 2013 vintage was marked by cold periods and heavy, soaking rainfall, ensuring vigorous, even blossoming and replenishing soil moisture. Cool to moderate temperatures decreased vigour and favoured higher quality in the grapes when spring arrived. Dryer weather kept illnesses at bay, allowing for slower, more steady development during the early summer. Unusually heavy rains in the middle and late summer increased soil moisture levels, extending the vintage and ripening time significantly. Overall, the season produced fruit that was rich in flavour, structure, and concentration.
- in the cellar: The wine was aged for eight to 10 months in wood barrels.
