Chateau Los Boldos was established in 1991 and is located 100 kilometres south of Santiago in the Cachapoal Andes foothills. Their concentration has been on the creation of premium wines from the beginning, working with a section of old vines that were planted in 1948. Since Sogrape bought the estate in 2008, it has been transformed. Pedro Parra (of Clos des Fous), a renowned soil scientist and viticultural consultant, was brought in to examine the plots and match the proper type to the various soils on the estate.
